A second Nordplus (NordPlus Framework Program) for Nordic-Baltic cooperation in the field of education, the Nordplus Youth sub-program “Let’s learn together” project meeting took place on September 24-30 in Alsunga. Project partners form Norway, Latvia and Lithuania were acquainted with the local school and presented their educational institutions. During this meeting, guests visited cultural and historical sites of Alsunga, took part in lessons, creative workshops, deepened their knowledge of cultural values, linguistic diversity and similarities between countries. Project partners were acquainted with Latvian youth culture, leisure forms for adolescents, worked in mixed groups. “Edukateka” dancers delighted guests with Lithuanian dances at St. Michael’s feast. All the teachers had a great opportunity to share their good experience, to discuss the most effective teaching methods, educational environments and students’ leisure forms.
The week spent in Alsunga proved that there are interesting and meaningful ways to spend free time!
